The Pacers took down the Knicks on the road in historic fashion in Game 7. Indiana was able to blow the Knicks out in the Garden 130-109. It was an incredible game from everyone wearing a Pacers uniform, but one player stood out to other NBA players on social media.

T.J. McConnell was the guy who had everyone talking online. He was his typical reliable self off the bench. Not only did he run the offense with his normal mastery, but his defense was great again. Plyers from across the league took notice of his efforts.

As you can see, multiple NBA players loved what they saw from McConnell. There were plenty more tweets like this as well from other players. To have a guy that valuable coming off the bench is such a luxury for the Pacers. He was excellent for them all series long.

T.J. McConnell is one of the most important players for the Pacers

It's crazy that McConnell started the season as a DNP-CD. He is way too valuable of a player to be in that scenario. I'm glad that Rick Carlisle came to his senses and put McConnell back as the leader of the second unit after a month of being in purgatory on the bench.

Looking ahead to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Celtics, McConnell is going to be pivotal. He is the most important bench player for either team in the series. If Indiana is going to win the series, the bench is going to have to be great. McConnell will be leading that unit.

It's cool to see that other players recognize his value around the league. McConnell is having the best season of his career and he's 32 years old. His ability to create his own shot in the paint creates massive issues for every other team. The Pacers are lucky to still have him. They should guarantee his contract next year too.
