This summer, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite playing a very small role, even being a DNP for three games, Haliburton and Team USA took home the gold medal.

Since the end of the Olympics, fans have been treated to some interesting stories. Most notably, Haliburton spoke about numerous recruiting pitches occurring among players. The Wisconsin native admitted that some players tried recruiting him to their NBA teams, but he made it clear he has zero intentions of leaving the Pacers.

Now, nearly two months after the Olympics came to an end, we are still being treated to some funny stories. Only this time, it comes from basketball legend and current Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who shared a great anecdote involving Haliburton.

LeBron James revealed Tyrese Haliburton poked fun at him during the Olympics

During Lakers Media Day, James revealed that some of his Team USA teammates poked fun at his age, calling him "Old Head" and "Grandpa." More specifically, the 39-year-old named Haliburton and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards as the players who teased him the most.

“Ant-Man, for sure, Tyrese Haliburton, them boys were on me all summer calling me Old Head and Grandpa, things of that nature. You probably saw a little bit throughout the summer in my beard, my gray hairs was coming out," James said.

"I was looking like a real grandpa…But the young guys on the Olympics team, they gave it to me man. It was all fun. It’s great to be around young guys. They gave me energy and I tried to give it back to them.”

Of course, this sounded like it was all in good fun, rather than there being any legitimate beef between James and Haliburton and Edwards. Nonetheless, it is a funny story that sheds a little more light on Haliburton's personality.

Since getting traded to the Pacers a couple of years ago, Haliburton has embraced his role as a star. However, he has done so in more ways than one--both on and off the court.

Over the past few months, Haliburton has made appearances on WWE television and is a regular guest on ESPN's "Pat McAfee Show." He has showcased his charismatic personality and is becoming a household name for his activities even beyond the NBA court.

After James revealed his experience with having Haliburton as a teammate for a brief time, it is clear that the Pacers guard is genuinely personable and is a player fans can be proud to claim.

Off the court, it seems that James and Haliburton have immense respect and admiration for one another. On the court, however, this may be a different story.

The Pacers and Lakers had a heated battle during the final round of last year's NBA Cup, then known as the In-Season Tournament. Los Angeles got the win over the Pacers, becoming the inaugural winners of the tournament. Now, nearly a year later, it will be exciting to see if the two teams meet once again in the NBA Cup, or potentially even in an intense matchup in the NBA Finals.
