After a highly-anticipated rookie season Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark took home this year's WNBA Rookie of the Year award.

In her rookie campaign, Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Additionally, she shot 41.7% from the field and 34.4% from the three-point line. Clark also became and All-Star during her rookie season and finished fourth in MVP voting. Furthermore, she led the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016.

Despite having an impressive rookie season, Clark was on vote shy from earning unanimous Rookie of the Year honors. Nonetheless, there is no denying that Clark made an immediate impact on the Fever.

Following the news of her winning the Rookie of the Year award, a few Indiana Pacers players took to social media to congratulate the 22-year-old.

In a video posted on their official X account, multiple Pacers players sent their love and congratulations to Clark. Myles Turner, Tyrese Haliburton, and Obi Toppin (and his daughter Remi) all shared special messages to Clark.

Since the Fever drafted Clark, there has been a lot of open support between her and the Pacers. Most notably, Clark and Haliburton have become good friends over the past year.

During his Media Day appearance earlier this week, Haliburton spoke about his friendship with Clark and how the two "grew pretty close" thanks to Clark's boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, who was an intern with the Pacers last season.

"I grew pretty close — with Connor McCaffery being an intern with us last year," Haliburton said. "And then I've grown to be pretty close with Caitlin and him. Me, him, her, and my girlfriend, Jade, all have a group chat that we all talk in pretty often about everything."

Additionally, Haliburton and many of his Pacers teammates appeared courtside at numerous Fever games this season to show their support for Clark and the team.

With Clark's first season now on the books, there is a lot to be excited about when it comes to Indiana basketball. Both the Fever and the Pacers are fresh off their most successful season in years. Furthermore, both teams, led by their young star point guards, should remain mainstays in the playoff picture for years to come.
