We are just a few weeks away from the release of the newest game in the popular video game series, NBA 2K25, and already fans are excited to see where their favorite players rank in the game.
2K hands their player ratings on a scale of 0-100 (although, no player has ever received a lower rating than a 40). This is meant to measure how the company views the player in comparison to the rest of the NBA. While a rating in an NBA 2K game means nothing in the grand scheme of things, it is always fun for fans to see their favorite player receive a high rating and get the respect they feel is deserved.
Ahead of the game's release on September 6, now is a good time to review the ratings the players on the Indiana Pacers have been given. Keep in mind that ratings are updated throughout the year. If there is someone who you believe is rated too high or too low, there is a good chance that will be corrected by the end of next season.

Notable changes from NBA 2K24
Every player who was on the Pacers last season either received a higher rating or at least maintained the same rating. After his All-NBA campaign, Tyrese Haliburton finally reached the 90 overall threshold. Furthermore, after his second NBA season, Andrew Nembhard received the biggest overall upgrade, going from a 76 to an 81.
On the flip side, the only player to receive a lower rating than they did last season is James Wiseman, who the team acquired this offseason. After his last season with the Detroit Pistons, the former No. 2 overall pick received an overall decrease of one point, going from a 78 overall to a 77.
Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith both own a 3PT rating of an 85, tied for best on the Pacers. Additionally, Obi Toppin's 90 Dunk rating leads the team, with Jarace Walker's 87 rating being a close second.
Individual player ratings
Star players
Tyrese Haliburton (PG/SG), 90 overall
In addition to his 90 overall rating, Haliburton has 34 badges. This includes nine in the "Finishing" category, 10 in the "Shooting" category, and 15 in the "Playmaking" category. Haliburton's only Hall of Fame badge is "Bail Out," which is the ability to successfully complete a pass in mid-air.
Furthermore, Haliburton has a 97 Close Shot rating, a 98 Mid-Range Shot rating, a 98 Pass Accuracy rating, and a 98 Pass IQ rating.
With the ratings they gave him, it is clear that 2K recognizes Haliburton's playmaking and overall passing ability.
Pascal Siakam (PF/C), 88 overall
The Cameroon native has 28 badges, with 11 of them in "Finishing." Furthermore, he has three badges in "Shooting," five in "Playmaking," and nine in "Defense/Rebounding." As for individual ratings, 2K gave Siakam a 98 rating in Close Shot, Shot IQ, and Offensive Consistency. Additionally, they gave him a 90 rating in Post Hook, Post Fade, and Post Control.
Much like how his playstyle is in real life, this virtual version of Siakam is very well-rounded and great at each aspect of the game.
