From 2019 to 2022, guard Justin Holiday spent parts of three seasons as a member of the Indiana Pacers. The 35-year-old has played for 10 teams since entering the league in 2013, but he has not worn any team's uniform more than he wore the Pacers'.

Holiday appeared in 198 games as a Pacer, starting 98 of them. During his time with the team, he averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1 steal.

The Pacers traded Holiday to the Sacramento Kings as part of the blockbuster deal that landed them Tyrese Haliburton. Since then, Holiday has also suited up for the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, and most recently, the Denver Nuggets.

Training camp for most teams is set to begin on October 1, and the former Pacers wing remains a free agent. However, it appears this may change sometime soon.

According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater (subscription required), Holiday reportedly worked out for the Golden State Warriors. The California native spent the 2014-25 season with the Warriors, playing 59 games for the team and winning the only championship of his career that year.

Slater notes that other veterans, like Nassir Little, worked out with the Warriors as well. However, it remains unclear whether the team will sign either of them ahead of training camp.

Holiday is not the same player he was even just a few years ago. However, he can still contribute to any team around the league right away.

He remains a solid two-way player with a good jumpshot. Last season, Holiday shot 40.4% from behind the three-point line on 2.3 attempts per game. Though this is a small sample size, it is a good indication that he can still play the game and his role at a high level. Furthermore, he is a long-time veteran who could provide a strong presence in the locker room.

At this stage in the offseason, Holiday is a good low-risk signing for any team in the league. This is especially true for the Warriors, who aim to capitalize on the championship window they still have with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green on the team.

It is unknown if any other team has interest in Holiday. Regardless, if he remains unsigned heading into the 2024-25 NBA season, it would not be a surprise to see him on a team by the end of the campaign.
