Can this player ever find playing time for the Pacers?

While he has been a Pacers player for three years now, he hasn't seen much playing time.

The Indiana Pacers have a very competitive roster right now. They have a lot of guys who are fighting for playing time and might get minutes on worse teams. There's a reason that they made the Eastern Conference Finals. Even T.J. McConnell was a DNP-CD early in the year.

One player who hasn't seen much playing time since he's been in Indiana is Kendal Brown. Brown was a second-round pick back in the 2022 Draft. He was taken out of Baylor and he was hoping to earn some time at some point in the last three years. That hasn't quite happened yet.

So far in NBA career, he has played in just 21 games. Part of that is because he had surgery in February to address a stress fracture in his leg. He has averaged just under five minutes a game out there on the floor. Does he have any chance of getting more playing time?

Kendal Brown might not have a path to more playing time for the Pacers anytime soon

Brown is stuck behind a lot of players on the depth chart. He does have a guaranteed contract for the next few years, so his place on the roster is secured. That's at least a good thing. Still, he doesn't have lot of hope to get playing time unless he somehow becomes very good at defense.

Brown is a good size for a small forward, he just doesn't have the offensive game to see the floor. He can't hit the open shots that he needs to hit. To be fair to him though, he hasn't gotten the opportunity to even try in a game setting. The only time he's seen is in garbage time.

The Pacers do like Brown. They think he has the potential to be a rotation player. Whether or not he is able to play well enough in practice to earn that playing time remains to be seen.
