The Indiana Pacers are massive favorites on Monday night when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers in an interconference battle.
Indiana is the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference right now, and this is a game the team has to have against a Portland team that has really struggled out of the gate.
The Blazers are in a rebuilding phase, and this is the second night of a back-to-back for the team after it blew a huge lead against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
Can Portland (4-12) at least cover the spread as a double-digit underdog in this game?

Blazers vs. Pacers key players to watch
Portland Trail Blazers
Scoot Henderson: The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Henderson missed time this season with an injury, but he recently returned to the lineup for Portland. After a slow start to his career, Henderson was solid against the Bucks on Sunday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting (3-for-4 from 3).
Indiana Pacers
Tyrese Haliburton: The Pacers star guard is looking like a legit candidate to go All-NBA this season, averaging 25.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 12.1 assists per game while shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 45.4 percent from 3. One could make the argument that Hali should be an MVP candidate with the Pacers’ fast start.
Blazers vs. Pacers prediction and pick
There’s one bet that has hit in 93 percent of Pacers games this season…
The OVER.
That’s right, Indiana is an insane 14-1 on OVERs this season, even with oddsmakers pushing the total in the team's game each night.
The Pacers rank No. 1 in the NBA in offensive rating and No. 1 in pace, allowing for them to not only play uptempo games, but they’ve been efficient in those matchups as well.
Portland is the opposite. The Blazers are dead last in the NBA in offensive rating, and the team plays at the No. 24 pace in the league.
Can the Pacers speed them up? In all likelihood they will, but Portland is going to need to score the ball at a better rate to push this total over. Still, I think the Blazers will, as the team put up 120 points just two games ago against Utah.
Until this bet starts missing, betting the OVER in Pacers games is a must.
