2. Mark Jackson

In June 1994, the point guard became an Indiana Pacer. The Los Angeles Clippers sent him and the draft rights for Greg Minor to the Pacers for Pooh Richardson and Malik Sealy. In addition, the draft rights to Eric Piatkowski were also sent to LA.

Jackson, also a St. John's alumni, joined a squad that already featured All-Star shooting guard Reggie Miller and starting center Rik Smits. The Pacers also boasted a pair of big men, brothers Antonio and Dale Davis.

For about half a decade, this core struck fear in the Eastern Conference and even gave the six-time NBA Champions, the Chicago Bulls, fits.

In his second full season with the Pacers, Jackson shot his best from behind the arc. His 43% three-point field goal percentage was a career high. He would only eclipse the 40% mark two other times before he retired.

The Brooklyn, New York native started all 17 postseason games in 1995 for the Pacers. He shot 45% from the field and 40% from three then.

Jackson was a part of deep playoff runs for Indiana in 1995, 1998, and 1999. After two seasons with the Pacers, he was sent packing to Denver and became a Nugget. Indiana found gold in this trade, though, as their new addition is the next athlete on our list.

But no worries, Jackson would soon return to the Pacers within half a season. During his short tenure with the Nuggets, he posted his career-best averages in both assists (12.3) and rebounds (5.2).
