The Indiana Pacers are an NBA franchise with decades of history and stats that may stand the test of time. Many records are broken every season in the league. However, there are some that will never be touched.

In particular, one former Pacers player is responsible for a few of these. It does help that he played his entire career for the only professional basketball team in the state of Indiana.

The 11th pick of the 1987 appears multiple times on this list as we gauge four different records that the Pacers may never see get taken down.

1. Career points for the Pacers (Reggie Miller--25,279 points)

When a player is on the same team from 1987 to 2005 and is good enough to make five All-Star games in the span of 11 years, they have a good chance to score a lot of points. That is exactly what Reggie Miller did for the Pacers.

His personal best average was 24.6 points per game in just his third season. Miller would average at least 20 points a game for five more seasons before the end of the 1996-97 season.

In fact, he has nearly doubled the next closest player in Pacers' history in terms of scoring. Miller recorded 25,279 points in this NBA career. He averaged just over 18 points a game during his tenure in the league.

Miller never had a season in the league where he averaged below 10 points a contest. His range and efficiency behind the free-throw line also made him a game-high regular for Indiana.

Runner-up on the list is Rik Smits with 12,871 points. He did so with fewer games and a smaller average per game than Miller. That goes to show you how solid and consistent of a scorer Miller was for the Indiana Pacers.
