3. Johnny Furphy

While it is easy to imagine James Wiseman on this list, the Pacers are not as deep at center compared to the forward positions. Especially if the organization keeps James Johnson for his leadership, experience, and presence in the locker room.

In June, the Eastern Conference runner-ups made another trade on draft night. They made a swap with the San Antonio Spurs to get the 19-year-old standout from the University of Kansas.

During the Summer League, Furphy caught some attention. He averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds as he played just under 30 minutes a game.

The Indiana Pacers are deep in the positions that Furphy could play at. If he manages to do well enough in the next couple of weeks, it may be hard for Head Coach Rick Carlisle to say no to the rookie.
