Justin Holiday
Despite going undrafted in 2011, Justin Holiday has become an 11-year NBA veteran. Holiday spent 194 games with the Indiana Pacers, his longest stint with any team, and is now an unrestricted free agent in 2024.
If the Pacers are looking to round out the perimeter with a veteran presence, then signing Holiday for the veteran's minimum could be a solid move.
Holiday doesn't play as much as he used to, but he's coming off of one of the best shooting seasons of his career. He knocked down 40.3 percent of his three-point field goals with the Denver Nuggets in 2023-24, averaging 0.9 conversions per game and 2.3 per 36 minutes.
Indiana has a strong perimeter, but adding a sharpshooting wing who can bring defensive instincts to the floor would be a low-risk move.
It's worth noting that, if there is a weak position in Indiana, it's along the wings. Tyrese Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard are expected starters in the backcourt, with one of Aaron Nesmith or a healthy Bennedict Mathurin holding down the fort alongside them.
If 2023 first-round draft pick Ben Sheppard struggles to take a step forward, however, there could be a place in the regular season rotation for Holiday at the 2 and 3 spots.
