2 Studs, 1 dud from Indiana Pacers preseason win over Atlanta Hawks

It’s been an up-and-down preseason for Indiana Pacers rookie Jarace Walker to this point. Well, it’s actually been more like an up then down preseason, as this was Walker’s second dud in a row.
Walker struggled mightily against the Atlanta Hawks. In 14:08 off the bench, he put up just four points, two rebounds, and one assist while shooting 2-of-8 from the field and 0-of-2 from beyond the three-point arc.
To make matters worse, Walker had a team-low -24 +/- on the night. No one else on the team had a +/- worse than -9, and all of the starters had a positive +/-.
This showing comes fresh off another struggle-filled night for Walker, as he wasn’t great in the Pacers’ loss to the Houston Rockets in their second preseason game.
That said, Walker was amazing in the Pacers’ preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies, posting numbers that had fans everywhere very excited to see what else he could do.
As a rookie, Walker is bound to endure some struggles, but it’s safe to say that fans were hoping he would bounce back in this one. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t the case.
Walker will figure things out, but for now, Pacers fans will be left wanting more.
