The Indiana Pacers wrapped up their third preseason game of the season on Monday night, and they managed to pick up their first win of the new campaign.

They took down the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 116-112, moving their record during the preseason to 1-2 with just one game left to go, and there were definitely some players to note.

Some players played well, and others struggled, so let’s take a look at two studs and one dud from the Pacers’ win over the Hawks.

Honorable mentions go to Myles Turner, who played well but fouled out of the game, and Jalen Smith, who put up another efficient near-double-double off the bench.

Stud – Tyrese Haliburton

Is this cheating? This feels like cheating? Of course Tyrese Haliburton is a stud. Everyone knows that. However, this was his first outing of the preseason, so he deserves a spot on this list.

Haliburton put up solid stats, pouring in 15 points to go along with three rebounds and eight assists. And while his efficiency wasn’t ideal (4-of-9 from the field and 2-of-7 from deep), it was still a nice showing.

As per usual, Haliburton’s passing ability shined. He’s quickly become one of the best playmakers in the league, and while it was only preseason, it was nice to see his passing on display.

Over the summer, Haliburton played well for Team USA during the FIBA World Cup, but this was fans’ first chance to see him in a Pacers uniform since last year, and he made the most of it.
