The Indiana Pacers schedule released and there are some really awesome ways the schedule was laid out that will help the Pacers reach their goals of making the playoffs for the first time in multiple years.

But there are also a handful of games that are going to be a real challenge for the Blue and Gold this upcoming season. So we decided to list out some of the more challenging parts of the schedule below.

5. The end of their first long road trip against Minnesota, 12/16

The first real big challenge for the Indiana Pacers will be at least a one-week road trip in the middle of December (multiple weeks assuming they do well in the in-season tournament), that will end on the road in Minnesota on December 16th.

And while Minnesota isn’t traditionally considered a daunting task, it’s unfortunate that a winnable game comes at such an unfortunate time. On paper, the Pacers should be able to win this game on a back to back in which they played the Washington Wizards the night before.

But if the Pacers have any success in the in-season tournament the team will have been on the road essentially since November 29th all the way until December 16th. This could be a real challenge for a young team that is coming together for the first time.
