Trade offer No. 3: The Myles Turner offer

Taking their trade efforts to another level, this third hypothetical offer centers around Myles Turner. In this deal, the Pacers would send Turner, Daniel Theis, Jordan Nwora, and their 2024 first-round pick (top 5 protected) to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Pascal Siakam. A big part of this deal hinges on the Raptors’ belief that Turner could play alongside recently re-signed Jakob Poeltl. Quite frankly, there’s no guarantee they believe they could work together.

But if the Raptors are open to the idea of that, perhaps this is a deal that makes a little more sense for them. Plus, they also snag the Pacers’ 2024 first-round pick (which would be only lightly protected). There is still a part of me that wonders if the Raptors would be interested in this deal considering they wouldn’t exactly get much financial relief until after the 2024-25.

If they want to replace Siakam with talent, there may not be a better option than a ready-to-contribute now player than Turner

For as talented as Turner is as he continues to develop as a fringe star, I’m not sure how much sense building a trade package around Turner makes for the Pacers (who would want Siakam to play alongside Turner) or the Raptors.
