3.  Renegotiate a long-term deal with Haliburton’s co-star Hield

Haliburton has never known the NBA without Buddy Hield. Hield was already with the Kings when Haliburton was drafted and came with him to the Pacers as well. Because of this, they seem to have formed quite the friendship over the years.

Because of this, it is uncertain how fond Tyrese would be of any move that takes Buddy away from the Circle City. But we also can’t spend too much on an older shooting guard when we need to keep cap space free for our young talent.

One bold move the Pacers could make is not only keeping Buddy, but negotiating an extension to  keep him in Indiana for years to come. Him and Haliburton seem to have a smooth connection, it would be nice to keep in Indy if possible. And Hield is an excellent three point shooter in his own right, something that you can never have too much of on an NBA team.
