The Indiana Pacers won their Las Vegas Summer League opener against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night, and they’re back in action on Monday against the Orlando Magic.

Orlando lost to the Detroit Pistons in its first game of the summer, and the team isn’t as loaded as you’d expect with last year’s No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero not participating in Summer League (and rightfully so).

Meanwhile, the Pacers have Bennedict Mathurin (27 points against Washington), Isaiah Jackson and Andrew Nembhard all playing in the Summer League. The trio combined for 62 points against Washington, showing just how talented the Pacers are without this year’s draft picks (Jarace Walker and Ben Sheppard) making a major impact.

That’s led to the Pacers being set as sizable favorites in their second Summer League game. Here are the latest odds and my best bet for this matchup:

Pacers vs. Magic odds, spread and total

  • Pacers -5.5 (-110)
  • Magic +5.5 (-110)

Pacers vs. Magic prediction and pick

Orlando has plenty of young talent with lottery picks Jett Howard and Anthony Black both playing in Summer League, but the team failed to crack 80 points against the Pistons in its opener.

That’s extremely concerning since the Pacers have a loaded starting lineup, and Mathurin looks way too good to be playing this summer.

Black (7-of-10 from the field) and Kevon Harris (8-for-13 from the field) carried Orlando in its opener, but I don’t see things coming easy for the team on offense again against another veteran team.

Like the Pistons, the Pacers possess several NBA-level players on their roster this summer.

After covering this number against Washington, I think Indiana is the best to make on Monday night.

Pick: Pacers -5.5 (-110)
