The Indiana Pacers already made some draft news with their pick swapping with the Denver Nuggets, but is that all that is coming for the Pacers? As I scroll through social media, I came across all sorts of hypothetical trades… For example…

All Lakers fans have some sort of trade set up for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield. Not that any of these trades actually benefit the Pacers… Other people are thinking that the Pacers have to trade some more of their picks or players because there’s too many for the roster.

Will they go after the Indiana Hoosier, OG Anunoby? Is there a dream scenario to get Paul George back? Would that be crazy, or what?!

So what is going to have during the draft for the Blue and Gold? All other teams I’m sure how some trade forMyles Turner, but honestly, I hope that’s not the case. Turner has been the talks of trades ever since he was drafted. I thought this offseason would finally be the one where he didn’t have trade rumors swirling all around, but I’m guessing that other teams in the NBA are at least calling the Pacers about the big man. Personally, I want to see him continue to grow with Tyrese Haliburton and protect the paint at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. I enjoy watching the tandem on the pick-and-roll and look forward to the same next season.

This is a huge draft for the Pacers to continue their progress to relevancy and the return of playoff basketball to Indiana.

We hit the jackpot last season with Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard. Can Kevin Pritchard do it again? We will know more after the names are called and the trades are finalized by the end of the draft.

One thing is definitely true in my mind: More Pacers fans are paying attention to this team. I hope it results in Gainbridge Fieldhouse rocking again and pushing the Pacers towards more victories and sell out crowds. Will they make the playoffs? The team may not get there yet, but I hope so. Playoff basketball is the best, and teams typically have not enjoyed coming to Indiana during the month of May.

Good luck to the Pacers in the draft. Let’s be honest… we need some luck, but isn’t this franchise due for a bit of that in the draft?
