Could the Pistons and Pacers make a draft day swap?

At the seventh pick, some feel that the Pacers are sitting just outside the range of the lottery they may want to be. While there are three blue-chip prospects in the draft, there are a few players on the board afterward that could still be homerun draft picks.

It’s up in the air as to how excited the Pacers would be to move up. And the other question is, what would we have to give up? In a lot of places in the draft, moving up a few spots isn’t that costly. But in the top ten picks? The cost can be extreme.

But some of the players the Pacers may be highest on (looking at you Cam Whitmore and Jarace Walker) may be coming off the board long before the seventh overall pick.

If that is the case, then the Pacers need to be prepared for how to move up and get one of the guys that they are highest on after the individual workouts are complete. It’s hard to say what they will do, but the Pistons might be one of the best opportunities in the draft to move up and get the guy that we want.

Or at least one writer in Detroit thinks so.
