Why the Pacers finances allow them to make some big moves
By Joe Lyon
Chris Duarte, $4 million
Additionally the Pacers have a handful of rookie contracts. This starts with Chris Duarte, who might not be with the Pacers for very long given his regression in year two.
Aaron Nesmith, $6 million
Nesmith had a great campaign with the Pacers and likely will be a coveted player when his contract expires. Expect the Pacers to try and extend Nesmith given the success he has had.
Jordan Nwora, $3 million
Nwora is the newest addition coming to the team in 2023 before the trade deadline. More information is needed to know if he continues to be in the long-term plans for the Indiana Pacers.
Isaiah Jackson, $3 million
We don’t yet have enough information on IJax. He continues to show lots of potential and athleticism but has yet to realize it. He still has multiple years left on his deal, so expect the Pacers to ride it out.
Andrew Nembhard, $2 million
If Haliburton is the best deal, Nembhard is the second. At $2 million for a starting-level players, this contract is near highway robbery and one of the most valuable the Pacers have.
