The Pacers bring in a multiple time All-Star player.

Pairing Tyrese Haliburton with another All-Star level player would significantly expedite the rebuilding process for the Pacers, who haven’t had two All-Star players on the same roster since having both PG and Hibbert sharing the court. In addition to this, Pascal plays the biggest position of need for the Pacers and could serve as the two-way power forward the Pacers have needed for years.

The raptors may be inclined to do this because it would bring multiple draft assets to the team to build around future cornerstone Scottie Barnes and OG Anunoby. They would be losing their All-Star but would have a wealth of draft assets to offer moving forward to try and rebuild the team.

Overall, the Pacers would maybe have to throw more into this trade to make it happen (perhaps a third first round pick), and again, this would have to be contingent on Pascal signing an extension of communicating to the front office that he would be willing to commit to Indiana for the long-haul, something I’m unsure the Pacers would be able to get.
