The Pacers make a massive trade to bring in talented power forward OG Anunoby
The glaring weakness of the current Pacers roster? Well that would be at power forward, where the Pacers have been deficient for years, at least since Thad Young left the roster. This move would be one where the Pacers went all in on a player. The proposed trade:
This trade would be a massive story in the NBA, and for good reason. The Pacers would be moving four first round picks for OG Anunoby (the 23 pick was specified as Cleveland’s pick). Theis and McConnell are included as salary filler.
The Raptors are only willing to do this if they are going to blow up the roster as OG is a central piece to their young core with Scottie Barnes. Without OG, they may be looking at, a minimum, “retooling” process for the next year or two. However, this trade would leave them with quite a bit of capital to go out and retool with.
But would the Pacers make such a trade?
