The Pacers bring in forward Cam Johnson after his impressive playoff series against Philadelphia.

Cam Johnson and the Nets may have been swept in the playoffs, but it wasn’t for lack of performance from Johnson. He looked like the second best player on the Nets behind Mikal Bridges himself. For the series he averaged: 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. That’s a solid player.

And Cam Johnson perfectly fits a position of need for the Pacers. He could play the power forward spot and stretch the floor alongside Myles Turner. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype projects that Cam will likely get a deal in the range of 4 years for 90 million dollars. That would put Cam roughly in the same class of paycheck as Malcolm Brogdon or Mike Conley. That may certainly be worth the price tag given Johnson’s youth and ability to perfectly fit the biggest role of need for the Indiana Pacers.
