NBA Rumors: Ridiculous Pacers trade ideas that may just work

Obi Toppin was someone that we continuously talked about all season as someone the Pacers may try and go after prior to the trade deadline. He plays a position of need for a Knicks team that already has too many forwards as it is. Because of this he seems like an ideal target for this Pacers franchise. What would it take to get him? One proposed trade we found was:
This trade may not be ridiculous for Pacers fans, but I’m unsure the Knicks would go for it. In theory it makes sense. The Pacers have too many centers and need forwards. The Knicks have too many forwards and could use another center. I would be thrilled to get an offer like that, but that usually indicates that a deal would never get done.
The Jalen Smith experiment at forward has largely been a failure and the Pacers need to decide what to do with him long term. Hopefully that means moving on from him to open the roster spot for someone who fits better with the team.
