With the 8th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers select…….Gradey Dick, forward from the University of Kansas.

This ultimately would be a disappointing pick, but the Pacers are falling past the place where players such as Brandon Miller, Cam Whitmore, and Jarace Walker will already be off of the board. Gradey isn’t a bad player, but would probably be one of the most disappointing options to come out of the top ten of this draft. Gradey has looked good this season, however, Kansas had a disappointing March this season.

He is averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds, 44% FG, 40% FG3.

He is a good three point shooter for his size and ultimately would be able to stretch out defenses at the next level. I would probably question how aggressive he would be at the NBA level and whether or not he has the bulk to really hold up against big NBA power forwards.

However, the Pacers have put themselves in this situation, and Gradey would likely be the best player on the board at eight, as disappointing as that would be.
