The regular season is still far from over, but at this point, it’s appearing more likely that the Indiana Pacers will head to a lottery finish for the third straight year. But this time, missing the postseason wouldn’t be a gut-wrenching result as the franchise is clearly on its way up.

With three first-round picks in the upcoming and highly touted 2023 NBA Draft in addition to substantial cap space to spare during free agency, the Pacers are well-positioned to address issues and improve the roster to facilitate a widely expected leap in the following campaigns. Fans and pundits alike will have their eyes on Indiana as they prepare for a potentially defining offseason.

The Indiana Pacers are likely to remain active on the trade market this offseason

That being said, there remains another route for Indiana to bolster the lineup: the trade route. In fact, this trade idea involving the shockingly inconsistent defending champions, the Golden State Warriors, could give the Indiana Pacers an air of what could be possible for them in the offseason in their trek to roll out a more competitive club next season.
