There is a potential gold mine aka the Charlotte Hornets

There is one team, who, if they decide to tear it down would be a potential gold mine for the Pacers. Frankly, the current construction of the Hornets just isn’t working. Hayward is always injured, Ball is injured currently, and the other pieces on the court just don’t seem to gel together very well.

There are a couple of pieces on this team that could really help the Pacers out, but one in particular that would be a special add for this rebuilding Pacers team.

  • PJ Washington would likely be the best player the Pacers could target on all three of these teams and someone they could potentially flip a first round pick for. He would fit perfectly the biggest position of need the Pacers have and is an offensive minded, tough, forward.
  • The Pacers could also go after Hayward if he significantly restructures his contract. He is WAY overpaid at the moment and is no longer a starting forward for a contending team. However, Indiana is home for him and he may be content to be a veteran backup on an up-and-coming team.
