The Bad

Overall, the first half really doomed the Pacers. The Pistons were scoring in bunches, and the Pacers could not do much to stop them. By the end of the first half, the Pacers trailed by 67-49, despite a good first half by Andrew Nembhard.

Without Myles Turner to clog the middle, the Pistons ended up out-rebounding the Pacers by 10. Without Haliburton, the Pistons had 10 steals. Those are just a few examples of what went wrong for the Pacers in Detroit, but I think every NBA front office would agree that it’s almost impossible to win consistently with a decimated roster.

Boom Baby

Tonight’s player of the game is Jordan Nwora. Look at this stat line in the losing effort:

It’s hard to find a lot of good things in a game like this one. The Pacers were down early and struggled to get back into the game, but Nwora has showcased that he can be a valuable part of this Pacers team. I look forward to watching him for the rest of the season.
