The Pacers played their second straight game in Detroit. The first meeting over the weekend was a success for the Blue and Gold, but tonight’s game was a shot of reality for the Pacers, falling to the Pistons by a score of 117-97.
It was a tough ask for the Pacers, considering the injury report today had almost as many players on the injury report as they had suited up against the Pistons. Making matters worse was Duarte leaving the game with an ankle injury. If someone were to look at the starting lineup, I would think most Pacers fans would agree it was going to be a tough game, even though the previous game against Detroit ended up with a Pacers win.
It has to be difficult to play the same team multiple times in a week during the regular season, and the Pistons were ready to go, scoring 38 points in the first quarter and not looking back.
Let’s look at the good and bad of the game.
