1. Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield is a phenomenal shooter and arguments can be made that he may be one of the best shooters in the history of the NBA. While he’s no Steph Curry, he certainly is able to put up volume of 3 point shots and hit an oustanding number of them. However, one wonders how well he fits the current timeline and needs of the Pacers?

The argument for keeping Buddy largely focuses on the fact that he is one of the best friends and mentors for star player Tyrese Haliburton. Buddy has been with Tyrese since their time in Sacramento and it appears that two have a real connection.

But Buddy is an aging veteran that is starting to look out of place in a lineup that features nearly no veterans. Now, one can say there is value in having a veteran in the locker room. But should they be one of your highest paid players? And it’s because of all of this uncertainty as to why there are questions about Buddy Hield this offseason. Do I want to trade Buddy Hield? Absolutely not. Would it be the best move to trade Buddy Hield? Now therein lies the question.
