The Pacers are at an inflection point as a franchise. The future could go one of two ways. They could continue to develop their current pieces and build through the draft over the coming years. Or they could make a run at a big piece on the trade or free-agent market to try and win in the playoffs.

While we aren’t necessarily advocating for either direction in particular, either way the team goes there are a handful of players that are playing for their future in Indiana. If we rebuild, there are players that need to make their case that they are part of the future of Indiana basketball. If we try to pick up a free agent and go for it, there are a handful of players that need to prove they are valuable in the here and now.

In this piece we go over five players that absolutely are playing for their future in the Hoosier state and whether or not they are part of the Pacers organization for years to come.
