Perhaps you haven’t noticed, but behind the scenes there has been a bit of a back and forth between Tyrese Haliburton and Patrick Beverley.

And at first, this seems like two players who shouldn’t even be in the same conversation. I mean, Beverley is a perrenial journeyman while Haliburton is an ascending superstar. But we all know who Patrick Beverley is, a player who likes to talk enough to make headlines and never back it up.

Well the back and forth has been quite entertaining and on Sunday afternoon Haliburton had the last word. Here is the complete back and forth between the two players.

Haliburton mentions Patrick Beverley on the JJ Redick podcast

So on the JJ Redick podcast, Haliburton mentions that Beverley talks trash even when he isn’t guarding you leaving Haliburton completely confused.

Patrick Beverley Responds

In response to this being the class-act that he is, Patrick Beverley tells the media on his TikTok account that he took the story personally and that he felt that it was somewhat disrespectful for a rookie to be saying things like that after the Lakers beat the Pacers earlier this year.

Tyrese Haliburton hits a game winner over Beverley

In their most recent matchup, it looks like Haliburton decided to put Beverley in his place a bit by hitting a game winning shot over him while the clock was counting down. Our best guess is that Beverley maybe has a little bit more respect for Haliburton and won’t be calling him out publicly anymore.

Haliburton gets the last word

In a postgame interview, Haliburton made sure to poke a little fun at Pat Beverley by saying that Pat Bev likes to talk but that it was “over now”.

We love the amount of confidence and competition that Haliburton brings to the court and that he isn’t going to be backing down to anybody in the NBA.
