The NBA draft order is constantly evolving and of course, is subject to change based on some ping pong balls. As a Pacers fan, one of the best things I have to look forward to at the moment is the upcoming NBA draft (other than amazing Tyrese Haliburton highlights). Understanding where the Pacers are positioned and who they might pick. As such, it’s important to understand what the order would currently look like if the ping pong balls fall in chalk order.

The Pacers have multiple first-round picks but where do they end up in the first round? So here you go, the complete first round of picks if the season were to end today. Of course, this positioning will change in the coming weeks, but this list should be a good indication of where each team may fall.

  1. Houston Rockets
  2. San Antonio Spurs
  3. Detroit Pistons
  4. Charlotte Hornets
  5. Orlando Magic
  6. Indiana Pacers****
  7. Orlando Magic
  8. Oklahoma City Thunder
  9. Washington Wizards
  10. Portland Trailblazers
  11. New Orleans Pelicans
  12. Toronto Raptors
  13. Los Angeles Lakers
  14. Utah Jazz
  15. Utah Jazz
  16. Golden State Warrios
  17. Atlanta Hawks
  18. New York Knicks
  19. Miami Heat
  20. Houston Rockets
  21. Brooklyn Nets
  22. Portland Trailblazers
  23. Brooklyn Nets
  24. Sacramento Kings
  25. Indiana Pacers*****
  26. Memphis Grizzlies
  27. Utah Jazz
  28. Charlotte Hornets
  29. Los Angeles Clippers
  30. Indiana Pacers*****

As you can see there are multiple teams in the first round that will have multiple picks (Magic, Pacers, Jazz, Hornets, Nets, Trailblazers) and so there will be many teams that have their names called repeatedly.

The Pacers picks are largely shaking out to be later in the first round, with two of their three picks being in the final 6 selections of the first round. However, they do have one lottery pick that could move up or down depending on the draw later this summer.

While we don’t know who the Pacers will go for, there are certainly rumors out there around the Thompson brothers and Cam Whitmore as potential Pacers targets in the draft.
