3. The behind the back pass parlayed into a no-look pass

What can I write about the below exchange? The fact that Haliburton is so GOOD at consistently finding the open person on the court is absolutely fantastic.

If you are keeping track, Haliburton starts off that possession with a behind-the-back pass to Buddy Hield and then goes to the 3 point line. Buddy passes out to Tyrese at the 3 point line, fools the defender into biting, drives, forces help, and then no-look passes to the cutting Andrew Nembhard who is running to the space that is now open because Tyrese drove the lane.

I mean, the exchange is a pure masterclass the workings of a magician. If Tyrese continues to play this way the best and brightest will WANT to come to Indiana to play with him. Sometimes if you have a ball dominant star on the team, other stars will be deterred, after all there is only one ball.

Tyrese on the other hand, will be everything any player has ever wanted in a teammate.

Let’s go Pacers.
