The Bad
I was worried in the first quarter when the Celtics started so strong. I was afraid the Pacers would get blown out of the building, but they fought back valiantly, hanging with the Celtics bucket for bucket. The game was fun to watch, but what was bad was anything to do with Marcus Smart in the second half and overtime. It all started tonight because of this…

The rest of the game continued to be on pins and needles, but Smart did his job. He is an instigator… and he is good at it. He got under the Pacers skin in the second half. He had some clutch buckets to help the Celtics to victory, including this one in OT:

Let’s not forget that Smart also fouled out Mathurin on a three-point shot right after the Pacers had taken a 3 point lead in OT. That was a frustrating sequence to say the least. Hats off to Smart and the Celtics. They battled all evening and walked away with the win.
