We think this is an achievable ceiling for the young Andrew Nembhard
Our verdict is that Andrew is spot on in his comparison. There are some slight differences. Our bet is that Nembhard will be a slightly worse shooter than Jrue of the length of his career, but has the length to potentially be a more potent defender around the floor.
That being said, given that today’s NBA is shooting more deep balls even than when Jrue came into the league, Nembhard may be able to eclipse Jrue’s shooting just in the volume the Pacers may need him to shoot moving forward.
All this to say, the Pacers got a steal of a second round pick in Nembhard. He hit a buzzer beater over Lebron James in LA and showed the world he has ice in his veins. He lit up the defending champion Golden State Warriors looking like the second coming of Chris Paul.
All we know is that we are beyond excited to have him in Indy and to see what his future holds.
Why trade demands will kill small-market NBA teams like the Pacers
Recently, the NBA has seen a spike in public trade demands from players, some of which have years left on their contracts. How will it impact the Pacers?
