The Pacers have seemingly locked into some intermediate future where they have signed Myles Turner for the foreseeable future. You would think at that point that the endless trade rumors to teams like the Los Angeles Lakers would finally end. However, you would be wrong.

Lakers fans believe themselves to be the center of the universe. And while the team certainly has had great success, it turns out, there are 29 other teams that play in the NBA, all of which are not set on catering to the Lakers every need.

Because Lakers media consistently decides to ignore what is going on around it and focus only within, it has slowly started to fall into a category known as: delusional.

A few weeks ago we posted an article that overviewed the most ridiculous Lakers/Pacers trades that Lakers media had come up shortly after the Myles Turner trade. It was like the signing of Myles Turner in no way phased them as they began to think about all of the ways they could still benefit from the signing of Myles Turner rather than realizing that they are out of options and entirely hopeless to do anything but waste the tired remnants of LeBron James’ career.

Here’s the proposed trade:

So just so we get this straight, the Pacers are trading away a key rotational piece that fits perfectly within their offense and is one of the best three point shooters of all time for:

(1) A tired veteran journeyman who is averaging 6 points a game.

(2) A young player who has never lived up to his potential and likely has already hit his ceiling averaging 13 points a game.

Um…hard pass. Best of luck to the Los Angeles Lakers but they are backed into a corner with no way out.
