The Pacers trade away future talent for an aging average player… notice a theme?

Has Patrick Beverley ever been a player good enough to cornerstone a trade package? Well apparantly Lakers’ fans believe so. Here is the second trade proposed by the site:

The Pacers might have to think about this trade for all of about 10 seconds. They trade away a talented young piece on a good contract in Chris Duarte. They also trade away one of the main morale guys that plays mentor to our budding superstar in Tyrese Haliburton. You would expect for Duarte we might at least return a first round pick?

The site again proposes that the Pacers take Patrick Beverley and again, take two second round picks. Using the same logic above, this is essentially Pat Bev for Duarte and McConnell. This trade appears to actively be the Pacers trying to make the rotation much less competitive.

Our grade: F, the Pacers would actively be making their roster worse for no real draft capital.
