Pacers rumored to be monitoring young Hornets player
By Joe Lyon
The Pacers have signed Myles Turner! And because of this, the front office has essentially signaled that they believe that the current roster and core may be able to develop into a team that is able to compete at the highest level.
One position that the Pacers continue to struggle to fill would be the power forward position. For years the Pacers have had to use centers or smaller forwards to fill the four spot, often getting roasted by true power forwards across the league.
However, if one NBA insider is correct, the Pacers are currently in the process of monitoring the trade market for Jalen McDaniels of the Charlotte Hornets. McDaniels has the following stat line this season:
McDaniels 22-23: 10.9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 45% FG, 33% FG3
Those are solid stats depending on the price, and it is no surprise that the Pacers would be monitoring the trade market for a player that fills such a vital hole in the starting lineup.
So what might it cost the Pacers to trade for McDaniels prior to the looming trade deadline? We look at a trade that sends extra pieces to the Hornets in exchange for the soon-to-be free agent forward.
