Myles Turner has had his fair share of doubters in his time with the Indiana Pacers. Whether it was the doubts when he was draft, the doubts when he was paired with Sabonis, the doubts when the Pacers went after Deandre Ayton, or the doubts when during this season he has constantly been in trade rumors.

In short, Myles Turner is no stranger to having people doubt what he can do on the court.

And yet, this season Myles Turner has had a renascence of sorts on the basketball court, looking like the player everyone doubted he could be. And the Pacers ended up getting the result they were looking for on Tuesday night, all the while Turner looked like a player putting to bed all of the doubts Pacers’ fans have had for years.

Whether it was playing amazing defense that was translating into phenomenal offense:

Or it was Myles Turner looking to do his best Victor Wembanyama impersonation:

Turner was certainly feeling it on Monday night. By the end of the night he had accumulated the following stat line:

Myles Turner stats against Chicago Bulls: 26 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block, on 52% FG

The man appeared to be on a mission and Pacers fans heard it loud and clear.

light. Trending. The worst Pacers trade proposal we could find

So needless to say, Pacers fans were impressed by Myles Turner’s performance against the Bulls. What else did we learn in the game against the Bulls?

What we learned:

  • Myles Turner is good at basketball. Enough said.
  • This Pacers team continues to have resiliency. They were able to fit back from a big deficit. This type of experience will bode well for the young guys as they find themselves in increasingly bigger and bigger moments.
  • Bennedict Mathurin has a chance to be HIM. The rookie was phenomenal in the closing minutes, showing that he has the ceiling of becoming an elite finisher in crunch time.
  • Pacers’ fans should temper expectations. This team still doesn’t look great without Haliburton on the court. While they were able to hold their own against Chicago and get the win, keep in mind, Chicago isn’t a very good team this year. And without Haliburton, the Pacers have been routinely getting outclassed.

Next. New report seems to indicate Anunoby may be Pacer soon. dark
