This Raptors and Pacers trade may be too good to pass up for either team

The Pacers are showing up again in trade rumors, this time with the Toronto Raptors. Toronto has had a disappointing start to their season and may be looking to make some long-term changes. That is exactly the type of situation the Pacers should be looking to insert themselves and find value.

The big prize in a situation where Toronto are sellers rather than buyers would be landing OG Anunoby. Obviously, Pacers fans likely know him well given that he played college basketball just down the road and there was decent hope that the Pacers would take him instead of TJ Leaf in their draft class.

Past sins aside, OG would fit the Pacers extremely well. Zach Lowe reported that the Raptors were looking to get a Donovan Mitchell-like return for OG Anunoby, which any casual fan would know to be a bit of a ridiculous asking price. Not only is OG not as good of an asset as Donovan Mitchell, he isn’t necessarily going to change a team in the same way that Mitchell does.

However, Ian Levy of FanSided NBA has proposed a new trade for OG Anunoby that might be a good return for both teams and make both better in the long run.
