An underutilized power forward heads to Indy

The Pacers desperately need power forward help, and Jalen McDaniels may be able to provide that on the cheap. On the year his statistics are:

Jalen McDaniels: 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 46% FG, 34% FG3

He reasonably fits the Pacers timeline and could potentially see more minutes in Indy than he is in Charlotte. But what would it take to get McDaniels? We think something like this might get it done:

McDaniels is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year, so there is a potential that this is a one year rental. Because of this the Pacers can’t give up too much on the hope that McDaniels will sign with the team moving forward. Queen isn’t a consolation prize either, being a former G League MVP with plenty of potential.

There are probably more enticing trades for the Hornets. Let’s see another.
