"What is the origin of the Pacers #boombaby slogan/phrase? What does it mean? How old is it?"

The late, great Bobby “Slick” Leonard is iconic among the Pacers legends. As the coach of the Pacers, he won three ABA Championships. As a color commentator for the team, he was the beautiful music of fan excitement for many legendary years.

As to the origin of the “Boom Baby!” slogan, I’ll leave the explanation of it, and Slick’s brilliance in coining it, to the professionals.
