The Indiana Pacers have struggled to obtain a power forward for years now. This has caused many teams to be easily able to score points on us if they have a big physical power forward that our players are either too small for or too slow for.

Lucky for us, there is currently one down in Phoenix that is had a breakdown in the relationship between the player and the franchise. Jae Crowder has played on many playoff teams and made finals runs multiple times. He is a reliable veteran player that is of starting caliber.

The Indiana Pacers and the Phoenix Suns also have a strong trading relationship, having done recent deals around Jalen Smith and TJ Warren, which generally have gone well for both teams. It may be possible for the two to make an agreement again on the Crowder situation.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports that:

"A smaller salary player, such as Jae Crowder, would seem to make sense on the surface, although Phoenix has stood its ground on Crowder, sources said, demanding a playoff-caliber player in return."

Would the Pacers be able to deliver a playoff-caliber rotation player in return? We think so and here is how they do it.
