Nic Claxton, Brooklyn Nets

Nic Claxton has had interest across the league before, and likely would have more again if the Brooklyn Nets were to shop him around a bit. The young big has length and athleticism, and is an excellent defender in the post. The Brooklyn Nets are playing elite basketball right now, so would they consider trading Nic Claxton after the 15th?

He is averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds on 73% shooting. So what he does decide to shoot, he does so very efficiently. That being said, he is unable to shoot the three ball, and many of the skills he does have overlap significantly with Myles Turner. In Indiana, he would likely only be a backup whereas other franchises might need him as a starter.

He would be an interesting player to have in terms of his ceiling, but given the timing of the situation would likely not fit with the current Pacers roster at the current time. Perhaps if Myles was to get moved at some point, Nic Claxton would be an excellent candidate to come to Indiana to play in the new found gap.
