Indiana Pacers: Anunoby and Haliburton converse intently after game

The Indiana Pacers are on a roll and have been on a hot streak, winning four in a row. What’s even more impressive is the cast of teams they have beat in the last few weeks, which includes teams such as the Celtics, Heat, Cavs, Hawks, and Clippers. We are talking about elite level talent.

Much of the recent success has to do with the amazing play of Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield on the court. Tyrese has looked like a fringe MVP candidate, and Buddy Hield is leading the league in made threes. The offense has been rolling and role players such as Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner have been playing at a high level.

The only glaring weakness of this team would be a strong power forward type player to guard elite level forwards on contending teams. A report this week connected the Pacers to the Knicks as potential players for Obi Toppin. Another strong option that could fill that role would be OG Annunoby, who already has connections with his time at Indiana University.

On the court after the game on Monday, OG Anunoby was seen talking to Tyrese Haliburton in what looked like an in-depth conversation. It appears that they have no interest in anyone seeing or hearing what the conversation was about.

What could this mean? Well all of Pacers twitter reacted to the potential of OG Anunoby coming to the Indiana Pacers (which we are of the opinion that he would be a perfect fit). Many postulated that this could mean that OG is interested in coming to play with Tyrese and Co.

However, Pacers fans should temper their excitement or expectations.

Players are constantly having one on one conversation after games. This could be about a certain play from the game, it could be a critique of one of the players on the team that OG didn’t want to share aloud, it could honestly be anything.

While we agree that OG would be an amazing fit, and the conversation could have taken a turn towards wanting to play together, the reality is that these players could have talked about anything.

But boy it sure is fun to speculate isn’t it?
