Can the son of a hall of famer make a name for himself: David Stockton

David Stockton has always had big shoes to fill having a hall of fame player of a father in John Stockton. But David has struggled to maintain time on an NBA roster. He has played some minutes for both Sacramento and Utah on the court, but has mainly spent time in the G league as well as internationally in Croatia and Germany.

However, for the Mad Ants this season, David is averaging 16 points along with nearly 11 assists per game on 63% shooting and 67% from deep. That is a staggering line, even if it is from a small sample size. If he is able to keep this level of play up for long, he has an excellent chance of playing again on an NBA court.

And while he may never end up with the level of success his father had in the NBA, David certainly has acquired some of the court vision that runs deep in his veins. Don’t be surprised if there is a team that gives him a chance if he continues to put up numbers like that.
