The Indiana Pacers’ affiliate G League team, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, was in town yesterday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a matchup with the Windy City Bulls. It is always a good time when the Mad Ants are able to come to Indianapolis and play in front of the Indy crowd on an NBA court.

Of course, over the years the Mad Ants have been an invaluable part of the Pacers franchise, allowing them to develop players as well as rehab players after injury.

I was at the Mad Ants game on Friday and want to report that there are some intriguing prospects that played on the court. But before we get to that, I wanted to point out how awesome it was that many Pacers coaches came out to support the G League team.

Both head coach Rick Carlisle and assistant Ronald Nored were seen on the sidelines cheering on the Made Ants (via @IndyInThePaint).

The Mad Ants were in control of this game the majority of the time and made quick work of the Windy City Bulls. And while most of the players on the team will likely never see NBA action, there were a few standouts that may have an opportunity down the road on an NBA roster.
