Brandon Miller was born in Antioch, Tennessee, where he attended Cane Ridge High School from 2018-2022 and played basketball.

While in high-school, Miller achieved the Tennessee Gatorade player of the year award both his junior and senior year, with his senior year being the most impressive, as he averaged 24.1 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 4.3 APG, and 2.3 steals per game.

After his impressive showing at the high-school level, Miller was heavily recruited by many colleges as a 5-star recruit before deciding to take his talents to the Alabama Crimson tide for the 2022-2023 season.

Standing at 6’9. 200 lbs, Miller impressed in his first game with the Crimson Tide. The 20 year-old helped Alabama defeat the Longwood Lancers 75-54, and contributed 14 points, along with gobbling up 13 rebounds in the contest.  This game would be just the start of continued excellence for the freshman, as Miller’s averages of 19.3 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 2.0 APG, and 40% shooting from 3 in 12 games this season to date have been sublime.

Miller does have areas to improve however, as he averages more turnovers(2.5) than assists(2.0) per game so far in college. Miller also has a habit of getting tunnel-vision, settling for tough-isolation plays instead of looking for the open man more often than you would like to see. However, these flaws can be corrected at the NBA level, especially when you get a player like this into a system where he does not have to be the #1 option all the time.

While Miller has shown flashes of greatness in college, what will he look like in the big leagues?
