The 2023 NBA Draft is looking to be yet another star-studded class. While generational prospect Victor Wembanyama is the main headliner, other players such as G-League Ignite prodigy Scoot Henderson, Amen and Ausar Thomposon (yes, they are related!), and Villanova’s Cam Whitmore make up the top of what is sure to be a promising rookie class in 2023.

With the Indiana Pacers currently being in playoff positioning, it seems unlikely they will get the chance at one of the studs mentioned above. However, Indiana may decide to embrace the tank as the season progresses, setting themselves up with good draft capital, and looking to capitalize on the next season.

It seems the Pacers are currently working on a contract-extension with Myles Turner, but have a slew of front-court contracts that are set to expire after this season including Oshae Brissett, Goga Bitazde, Kendall Brown, and James Johnson.

With a promising set of back-court players including Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, Andrew Nembhard, and Chris Duarte, the Pacers may look to acquire a bigger forward in the draft this year.

Enter potential Pacers draft pick Brandon Miller. We will be exploring Miller’s background and why the 6’9 forward out of Alabama would be a good player for the Pacers to pick up in this year’s draft.
